Inspired by Live Earth????
I was!!

I took "the pledge" and everything (have you?) And one of the things I promised to do was:

3.To fight for a moratorium on the construction of any new generating facility
that burns coal without the capacity to safely trap and store the CO2;

So! I invited someone to come talk at our meeting tonight about the proposed new coal plant in South Georgia. Yes, that's right, our very own environmental disaster right here in our own home state.

Our special guest will be Justine Thompson, Executive Director of the Georgia Center for Law in the Public Interest.

Here is a link to the website.

They are fighting tooth and nail to stop this plant and they need our help.

Please come tonight (Wednesday July 11) to Manuel's at 7:00 to hear Ms. Thompson and do your part to save our planet home.

Bring a friend!
