Speak out
An opportunity for some letter writing was passed along by another local Dem. If you've given some serious thought to this issue (let's not just add to the cacophony here, folks), do take a few minutes to craft a good note:

Hi gang,
As we discussed again last Tuesday evening, it is critical that we Democrats remain a continuing part of the public political dialogue - and not just at election time every two years! I continue to be pleased to see many of you in the AJC letters to the editor on a variety of issues, and have seen several particularly this last 2-3 weeks. Kudos!

Action Item: In case you haven't seen it, the AJC has put out a request for readers to write about the dilemma of the war in Iraq, asking "What should we do?" With all the concerns of the continuing war, the newspaper is calling on readers to write about how to resolve the conflict. A collection of responses will be published the week of June 27-31, so send letters this week.

You are a bunch of sharp writers; put your brain around this one. E-mail responses of no more than 300 words to letters@ajc.com, include the city where you live and contact phone number.

And I'm sure some of you will include those pesky Downing Street memos/minutes....

later,
Linda Edmonds
