GA - Committee slices, dices ethics bill
Committee slices, dices ethics bill | ajc.com: "Georgia's ethics laws have been rated among the weakest in the country. Georgians have told pollsters they want reform. Republican Gov. Sonny Perdue has said passing ethics legislation is one of his top priorities.

But with the legislative session more than half finished, the governor's ethics bill is being sliced and diced in the committee where it started. And if ethics reform does pass, it likely will be missing several safeguards Perdue proposed."
