Young Democrats of Georgia Unite Behind Page Gleason
Dear State Committee Members -
It is with profound pleasure that we write to you to ask you to join us in supporting and voting for our friend and fellow Democrat, Page Gleason, to be the next Female DNC Representative from Georgia.
We each have different stories about how we became Democrats. We all have different issues that drive our passions, but we all are united by a love of the Democratic Party and its ideals. We believe in a party of fairness and opportunity. A party that has compassion for people less fortunate than ourselves. A party that believes all children should be allowed to grow up and embrace their full potential. A party that embraces the equality of humankind. Even in the face of long odds, we embrace these ideals and we embrace the Democratic Party that embodies these ideals.
Page is one of the hardest working Democrats we have been blessed to work with in our collective years of involvement with the Democratic Party. Her passion and commitment are a brilliant example to us all, and it is an example that we all hope we can live up to in our own activism within the Democratic Party. Her steadfast commitment to training Democrats to be effective advocates and activists for the Democratic Party, engaging Democratic voters and turning them out to vote, along with her keen ability to think strategically about the steps we must take to regain the majority in Georgia has been an asset to the Young Democrats of Georgia and to Democrats throughout the state. She has not only been a mentor to us, but a true friend to each of us.
We, as young leaders throughout the state, are excited to work hand-in-hand with the Democratic Party of Georgia to convince the youth of Georgia that their best interests lie in voting Democratic, before the Republicanism of their parents takes root. We are determined to prevent a generation of Georgians from being lost to the Republican hate machine. Page Gleason is the right woman at the right time to go to the DNC and demand that the national party become a more significant player in Georgia again. We need someone who has chosen to build her life in Georgia, and who cares deeply about the WHOLE state, urban and rural, black and white, young and old. Page’s energy and dedication help inspire us to continue the good fight to achieve our goals of making the Democrats the majority party in Georgia again.
We strongly believe that Page’s experience, vision, and proven leadership ability make her the ideal candidate to begin the hard work of rebuilding Georgia’s relationship with the National Party, a vital step in the strengthening of the Democratic Party on the local, state, and national levels.
We hope you will join us in supporting and voting for Page Gleason on August 4 to be the next Female DNC Representative from Georgia.
