A belated Happy Martin Luther King Day, Young Democrats. I hope you find this episode worth the wait, as I got a chance to bring one of our most inspiring (and apropos enough, our youngest) Georgia Representatives, Alisha Thomas Morgan, onto the show to talk about her weekend -- the upbeat parts celebrating the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the not-so-upbeat parts involving SB84, the latest Voter ID disenfranchisement law from our local Republican Party. If you've just been reading the blurbs in the papers, you might be thinking that SB84 fixed all the problems that landed HB244 in federal court; fear not, Representative Morgan will set you straight. There is also a cameo appearance by a marching band and some of the best grilled meat I've found in Atlanta.
I would sincerely like to thank Rep. Morgan for being so giving of her time, especially considering that I interrupted her dinner last night, and I think I even woke her up this morning. She's just that awesome. And she wants YOU to help us out in fighting the good fight, so be sure to sign up for our Action Alerts.
