I hate when they do that
I don't like to use this forum to bash Democrats, but sometimes we have to call our fair weather friends out on the carpet. This time it's Representative Jim Marshall of Macon, GA:
Democrats tried unsuccessfully Thursday to force the House to take up a measure condemning Republicans for "their refusal to conduct oversight" of the Bush administration's Iraq war policy and to order investigations into it. The House voted 220-191, mostly along party lines, to set aside a resolution offered by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Rep. Jim Marshall, D-Ga., voted with the Republicans.

Jim, Jim, Jim. Come on, now. Couldn't you have at least left the room?

marshall sits on a new subcommittee for oversight if I remember right. He probably would have been removed from that spot by the GOP leadership for voting for this bill.

Shelby, I am completely with you on that. Sometimes you wonder what it means to be a Democrat. I don’t mind Democrats voting their conscience even when I disagree with their vote. The problem with this particular vote that it doesn’t reflect personal conviction, but rather reflects bowing to corrupted power.
